【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverstheclassificationofsulfoneplasticssuitableforinjectionmoldingandextrusion.1.2Thepropertiesincludedinthisspecificationarethoserequiredtoidentifythecompositionscovered.OtherrequirementsnecessarytoidentifyparticularcharacteristicsimportanttospecializedapplicationsaretobespecifiedbyusingthesuffixesinSection5.SeeGuideD5740.1.3Thisspecificationisintendedtobeameansofcallingoutsulfoneplasticsusedinthefabricationofenditemsorparts.Materialselectioncanbemadebythosehavingexpertiseintheplasticsfieldonlyaftercarefulconsiderationofthedesignandtheperformancerequiredofthepart,theenvironmenttowhichitwillbeexposed,thefabricationprocesstobeemployed,thecostinvolved,andtheinherentpropertiesofthematerialotherthanthosecoveredbythisspecification.1.4Sulfonepolymers,beingthermoplastic,arereprocessableandrecyclable.Thisspecificationallowsfortheuseofthosesulfonepolymermaterials,providedthatanyspecificrequirementsaremet.1.5Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Section11,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note18212;ReferenceGuideD7209forinformationanddefinitionsrelatedtorecycledplastics.Note28212;ISO25137issimilarinsubjectmatterbutnotequivalenttothisspecification.
