【摘要】:ThispartofISO16014specifiesamethodfordeterminingtheaveragemolecularmassandthemolecularmassdistributionofpolymersusingsize-exclusionchromatography(SEC).Theaveragemolecularmassandthemolecularmassdistributionarecalculatedusingauniversalcalibrationcurveinsteadoftheconventionalcalibrationcurve.TheconceptoftheuniversalcalibrationmethodisbasedonarelationshipbywhichtheretentiontimeinSECdependsonthesizeofthepolymermolecule(thehydrodynamicvolume)orontheproductoftheintrinsicviscosity[η]andthemolecularmassM.Manypolymersclassifiedasrandom-coilpolymers(regardlessoftheirchemicalstructure,degreeofbranching,compositionortacticity)havebeenexperimentallyconfirmedasfollowingthisrelationship.Theuniversalcalibrationcurveisconstructedbyplottingthelogarithmof[η]MversustheelutiontimetorelutionvolumeVusingpolymerstandardssuchaspolystyrenewithnarrowmolecularmassdistributions.ThemolecularmassMiofanunknownpolymersamplecanthenbecalculatedfromthevalueof[η]Mateachretentiontimeusingtheuniversalcalibrationcurveand[η]orKandaintheMark-Houwink-Sakuradaequation([η]=KM→[η]M=KM,whereKisaconstantandaisanexponentdependingontheexperimentalconditions.ThereforethistestmethodisclassifiedasarelativemethodasdescribedinISO16014-1,buttheaveragemolecularmassesandmolecularmassdistributionscalculatedbythemethodareequalto,ornearlyequalto,theabsolutevalues.AlistofdocumentsrelatedtothispartofISO16014isgivenintheBibliography.
